
HUET with CA-EBS (5292)
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
No training prerequisites are required. Training activities contained within this Product may include physically demanding and potentially stressful elements. All personnel who participate in such activities must be capable of participating fully.
ADDITIONAL MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS
On the day of training the learner will have to undergo a fitness for dive, medical screening by a qualified dive medical doctor or physician before entering the water for Additional In-Water CA-EBS training, performed in Shallow Water poolside less than 0.7 meter in depth.
AIM
This Product is to meet the offshore safety and emergency response training requirements for personnel working in the offshore oil and gas industry who will be supplied with a compressed air emergency breathing system (CA-EBS) during offshore helicopter travel.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the HUET (with CA-EBS) Training are that learners will be able to:

Demonstrate, in a simulated environment, that they can use the safety equipment, and follow procedures in preparing for, and during helicopter emergencies – with particular focus on escaping from a helicopter following ditching
Identify key offshore related safety regulations and explain the basic safety management concepts.
ACHIEVEMENT OF CERTIFICATION
To achieve the Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) Training the learner will need to complete one mandatory unit, Helicopter Safety and Escape – CA-EBS.
