ONGC ATI and Suraksha Marine aim to drive the new age workforce equipped with the skills that reproduce right emergency response and sequence during helicopter emergencies, pipeline pigging, rig blowout fire response, remotely operated firefighting systems, lifeboat rescue and oil-spill response.
A national centre of excellence for fire, health and safety training across the energy sector, with infrastructure capable of reproducing realistic offshore emergencies. ONGC explicitly connected this to global safety standards, operational excellence and preparedness.
Recent IEW 2026, Suraksha and ONGC have partnered to promote its advanced safety, emergency-response and practical training capability—rather than one individual course. The central showcase was a series of live training demonstrations, reportedly four shows each day, covering offshore and onshore emergency scenarios.

Our Training Partner
Advancing offshore competence through technology and global standards
What began in September 2025 as a collaboration between ONGC ATI and Suraksha Marine has evolved into a shared pursuit of training excellence. By combining ONGC’s advanced Sea Survival Centre in Goa with Suraksha Marine’s offshore training experience, the partnership is strengthening training delivery, expanding capability and introducing a more rigorous, performance-driven approach to competence development.
Beyond workforce compliance and rigorous training and quality standards, the partnership is strengthening the systems that support competency assurance, operational readiness, and consistent training delivery. It is also aligning with internationally recognised industry frameworks to advance capability in step with evolving offshore requirements, emerging technologies, and global performance expectations.
The partnership has continued to expand training capability across ONGC, supporting more than 20,000 personnel through structured offshore safety, emergency-response, and simulation-based learning. The next phase is focused on advancing internationally benchmarked training capability, including progress toward OPITO approval to strengthen competency assurance, standardisation, and alignment with global offshore safety requirements.
