Emergency Breathing System

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Learners’ enrolling must hold a valid OPITO Approved Tropical BOSIET/ HUET certificate.

Personnel must have previously completed the OPITO Tropical BOSIET or Tropical HUET training and hold valid certificates for these courses.
AIM
The aim of this Product is to complement initial offshore safety and emergency response training and assessment (i.e. T-BOSIET or T-HUET) for personnel travelling to an offshore oil and gas installation by helicopter (in a warm water tropical environment) when issued with an Emergency Breathing System (EBS).
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the additional EBS training delivered in conjunction with the T-BOSIET or T-HUET programme are to:

Ensure learners are familiar with the use of the Emergency Breathing System (EBS).

Ensure that learners understand their basic emergency response actions during a helicopter emergency using the EBS
ACHIEVEMENT OF CERTIFICATION
To achieve the Emergency Breathing System (delivered in conjunction with T-BOSIET/ T-HUET) the learner will need to complete the 2 mandatory units, Practical Helicopter Escape and EBS Familiarisation.
