ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Learners’ enrolling must hold a valid OPITO Approved Tropical FOET certificate.

  • Personnel must have previously completed the OPITO Tropical FOET training and hold valid certificates for the completed course.

AIM

The aim of this Product is to complement further offshore safety and emergency response training and assessment (i.e. T-FOET) for personnel travelling to an offshore oil and gas installation by helicopter (in a warm water tropical environment) when issued with an Emergency Breathing System (EBS).

OBJECTIVES​

The objectives of the additional EBS training delivered in conjunction with the T-FOET programme are to:

  1. Ensure learners are familiar with the use of the Emergency Breathing System (EBS)

  2. Ensure that learners understand their basic emergency response actions during a helicopter emergency using the EBS

​

ACHIEVEMENT OF CERTIFICATION

To achieve the Emergency Breathing System (delivered in conjunction with T-FOET) the learner will need to complete the one mandatory unit, Helicopter Safety and Escape (EBS).
